This is my favorite quote by William Penn. "I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again."

Hot day in Naknek!
I don't know what you all call a HOT day, but being from Alaska, this is what we call HOT out! Addie is outside spraying the girls with ice cold water, but their all having fun playing with the water! Since the pool is closed due to repainting. We have a lake behind the house, theyd rather play with the water outside and their squirt guns!
Birthday party at a friends house
Dancing with their shadows!
We had a busy evening on Monday, I was making dinner and baking bread in the kitchen, girls were outside with dad watching him clear old paint off the house and then prime it. Addie was on the computer relaxing. I couldn't take the screechy scrapping Drew was doing outside, sounded like nails on a chalkboard, so I turn some music on and continued what I was doing. I looked out the window and saw the girls dancing and looking down and saw they were dancing with their shadows. They were having such a good time! It was too cute and just had to get it on video.

Love Sewing...Especially Kuspaks!
Well, here's my little hobby project, a traditional kuspak, well, minus the flounce! I got the fabric from Drew's mom, cute! We have a fabric store here, but the have no trim or rick rack, but ain't this cute! Later in the season, I'll volunteer my time to teach some ladies how to make them. There's a lady that makes them here, but doesn't like sharing her pattern for the kuspak! So, I told the ladies I'd be more than happy to have a class and share our traditional kuspaks. There's Skylar's little hand there to the right and you'll see her fuzzy little pink suit in there too! Silly girls!

Bristol Bay Red Salmon Strips
Drew and I have a very nice and helpful friend, David Brewer. He's a mid-level teacher also and will be working with Drew this coming school year. Dave has also helped us with alot of fish this summer. We've put a few filleted fish away for the season and now just waiting for the silver salmon. Here's a few of our smoked red salmon strips we've made over the weekend and today we're working on putting them away. Some for canning and some to freeze. Mom wait till you taste them! MMMMMMMMMM, GOOD!!!!!! You'd be so proud of us! For being our first time doing fish alone, we done good! :) Oh, guess who took the pictures?! Lol, my little 5 yr. old girlie girl, Skylar! Not bad for a toddler! Too cute!
