Look How Much Lucas Has Grown!

Here's our newborn Lucas on 11/27/07 weighing at 9lbs.11oz and 21 inches. Only 20 days old!

And here he is on February 3rd,2008, weighing nearly at 20 lbs. and 26.5 inches long! He will be 3 months on the 7th! He's grown out of his newborn to 20 lbs car seat, so now we have to move him to the newborn to 50 lb car seat! Our Little Giant!

See Even A Big Truck Crossed The River!

Just to show you Mama Marcia and Mama Linda...that it's safe to cross the river! That truck just crossed the Naknek River. Before We crossed they said that it's safe to cross, just be back before high tide at 10pm and not to blink or we might miss something! Lol!

Here we are making our move for the river! A loader, much heavier than our truck manages the ice trail over to the other side all the way through South Naknek!

This is picture of an old boat, the bow of the boat as you can see read St.Michael! This was at the South Naknek dumb. We we're looking at an eagle when Drew saw this sticking out. I teased him," Maybe it's a sign that we gotta go home!"

Just Chillin' With The Big Boys!

Gus and Lucas just chillin' and watching a movie! Gus came down from Stebbins to help out with baby sitting, since it was hard for us to find a sitter locally. he is one of my nine brothers, number 3 in boys and number 4 sibling, he's 25. Normally he does seasonal fishing for Glacier Fish Co. out of Seattle,WA on the Pacific or Northern Glacier.

Naknek Community Health Aides

Sheri Thomas is a Community Health Practitioner (CHP) and just 6 months shy of 20 years with Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation. She has worked in New Halen for 7 years, a small community North from here before making Naknek her home! She has been working in Naknek for 12+ years! It's been a pleasure working with her and I hope to get more years under my belt and the experience they have as a CHP!

Michael Trefon is from New Halen,Alaska. He just completed Session II and spent two weeks here in Naknek to get his 40 patients so he can begin taking call. He's been working with Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation since December 16th, 2006. He'll be working in his own clinic in a village of 200 people. I wish you the best of luck in all your future training!

I've been a health aide now for five years. I've worked in Stebbins and St.Michael, Alaska for four and a half years before moving to Naknek where my family and I live.

Rainbow Girlie Girls!

My beautiful girlie girls, they just love watching Strawberry Short Cake, one of the girls in the cartoon had a rainbow colored sweater and Adriana for the last two days was asking for a rainbow jacket! And in the mail from Gramma Linda was this pretty colorful sweater Adriana said it belonged to her! Skylar usually let Adriana pick first ,which she doesn't mind at all. After that, Skylar said," You know Mama, it's both ours?!"

Dad was trying to get Lucas to look at himself, for a little while he was just looking around till he found someone looking right at him, Lucas! For a while he was just serious, not smiling till dad said," There's Lucas, there he is, smile!"

Lucas was having a blast, just tickled that he saw himself in the mirror!

He was also baby babbling, mostly sounds with,"g" or "o" sounds in them! You gotta hear him, he's just a talker when he gets started.
